Sprung Donuts
Easy to learn, less easy to master.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Complete a series of increasingly difficult dives and collect medals to become champion.
Each dive takes seconds. Succeeding at several consecutive dives should take 5-10 minutes, depending on how quickly you can master the technique.
Designed for 1600x900, and first class mobile experience.
This game is very dependent on your reaction times. It is very difficult if you are too tired.
Made for the Comfy Spring jam 2026, using Wisteric 17 palette, and limited by
• seamless loop (the currency, and the aesthetic)
• no visible number (I can tell you your scores in the comments)
• include character customization (each dive has powerups)
Hints
I will highlight relevant details in red in the gifs, which use a reduced frame rate.
Jumping. Space key, or tap anywhere. You have two sources of lift, the board, and the legs.
Acrobatics. Press space to spin faster when the diver has his head upright, an icon flashes to prompt you, but the window of opportunity is very small. The closer you get to top-dead-centre, the more you will spin.

You should be planning for straightening for re-entry by the top of your jump.
Straightening. Once you fall below a certain height a button to open will appear.

Once you open you will spin less and by holding the button (or Z) your rotational velocity will reduce faster. When you open, your centre of mass, your hips, retain their alignment while your legs and torso spread apart, like a butterfly.
You will notice a tunnel vision effect here. I've slowed time down by half to give you more time to react.
Judgement. You are judged on how straight you enter the water. The more impressive your loop count, the more you have at stake here. The coach can explain more, but it is possible to beat the game never doing more than a half dozen loops.

The goniometer shows the angle you entered the water at, while the judges deliberate.
